[New changes] Age limit| Relaxation| Qualification For SSC CGL 2016 Aspirants
Staff Selection Commission India has started the application procedure for Combined graduate level exam 2016. Many graduates & Govt. job aspirants are going to apply for different posts offered in central government departments & Ministries. There is a revised age limit for SSC CGL 2016 exam.
What's New in SSC CGL 2016
1. No interviews for SSC CGL 2016. SSC CGL is conducted in two phases: Tier I & Tier II (Written)
&
SSC CGL Interview also known as SSC CGL tier 3 (only till 2015). Now onward candidates do not need to clear this tier.
#note: Computer proficiency test is still compulsory for many of the posts.
2. Revised age limit has left many applicants ineligible for CGL 2016 exam. According to new changed age limit qualifying date Aug 1, 2016, those aspirants who will turn more than 27 year old on the reckoning date will not be eligible to apply for vacancies on posts that has age limit 18-27 years.
3. Although there are few Posts for which age limit is 20-30 years or upto 32 years (statistic investigator officer, sub inspector, assistant auditor). For these posts overage candidates can apply.
4. SSC CGL last date for registration has been extended by 10 days till 21st march 2016.
5. Now Exam Date for SSC CGL 2016 Tier 1 has been extended to August 2016. Earlier it was 8th & 22nd May 2016. Know More Here!!!
SSC CGL Age Relaxation for ST/SC/Reserved category Candidates:
Following are eligible for age relaxation in SSC CGL exam.
- Reserved category applicants
- Physically handicapped candidates
- Ex-service man
- Central Govt. Civilian Employee
- Migrant from state of Jammu & Kashmir
- Widows/Divorced Women/Women judicially separated and who are not remarried.
- Defence Personnel disabled in operation during hostilities with any foreign country or in a disturbed area and released as a consequence thereof.
#Note: Date of Birth as recorded in the Matriculation / Secondary Examination Certificate only will be accepted by the Commission.

SSC CGL Qualification criteria:
The qualification criteria for Combined Graduate level exam can be classified in two criterias:
1. Educational qualification
2. Nationality/ Citizenship- A citizen of India, A subject of Bhutan or Nepal, a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the Ist January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India.
